The Sign of Christ’s Coming

The Sign of Christ’s Coming : An excerpt.

JERUSALEM IN ESCHATOLOGY; from The Sign of Christ’s Coming

“3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Math 24:3.
It is time we begin to understand, what the spirit is saying unto his own. The above verse of scripture was part of the discourse between Jesus and His disciples on the Mt. of Olive, over looking the city of Jerusalem before His death. The verse I and 2 of Matt 24 makes it clear, that what prompted the question of the disciples was the statement of Jesus that !he stones of the beautiful Jerusalem temple shall all be thrown down. What then can we really understand by this statements of Jesus?, What in essence was Jesus dealing with in Matt 24?, What was to be the sign of His coming (presence) and the end of the world (age)? Is it just a matter of the age we are living in or there has been a historical fulfillment of this words of prophecy? Should the interpretation be physical, symbolic or both?

A WORD ON ESCHATOLOGY; from The Sign of Christ’s Coming
Matt 24 is one of the passages of scripture by which the church world have based their teachings on events of the “ends time’s” running to the eventual explosion of the globe after the so called “Rapture”.But can we say this is what this passage is really all about? What exactly is “Eschatology”? “Eschatology is traditionally defined as the doctrine of the “Last things” (Greek eschata) – in relation either to the INDIVIDUAL HUMAN BEING (in which case they compromise death, resurrection, judgment and the after life) or to the WORLD. In this latter expect, some would confine “eschatology” the ABSOLUTE END OF THE WORLD, thus excluding much that commonly falls within that scope. Such a restriction is not warranted by Biblical usage.
