Bill Britton

Bill Britton: One of the most disappointing days of my life was the day I heard Brother Bill Britton had died suddenly in California; He was due to minister in Seattle, WA that weekend. I had been making plans for months to attend his meetings, and to get acquainted with this powerful man of God.

Bill Britton

A few years later I found myself in possession of some of the original printing tools that Bill Britton had used to print his first booklets; some of those are shown here. His Ministry touched my life so profoundly, probably as no other man’s Ministry ever has. Of course I am not alone in this; He has touched and challenged multitudes of believers all around the world with his wonderful writings, and expositions of the Word of God. I do hope that these writings touch your hearts as they have mine, and that you will never be the same again..
I would like especially to thank Sister Becky, Bill Britton‘s Daughter, for her wonderful help and encouragement in building this site.

Love and Blessings to all
Robert Burgess.

  2. I dont know who the guy is finger pointing and making such accusations. But this he better remember Aaron and mariam when you come against the word. You are opposing god
no man is without sin. Bill was a faithful servant. So what if he made a mistake or two, so did Elijah. But he still called fire down.

  3. YES ARE THERE STILL ANY MESSAGES BY BRO. BRITTON ABOUT “..A SEED SHALL SERVE HIM..” THIS WAS ABOUT THE 42nd. GENERATION IN MATTHEW ALSO

  4. According to the book, “Prophet on Wheels” about the life of Bill Britton, there are many questions about his “guidance” and “messages” from the Lord.

    Examples:
Bill claimed that God told him to preach, then he claimed God told him to stop preaching and go back to selling insurance, then he said God told him to stop selling and go back to preaching. This happened so many times in the book, I lost count. God is not the God of confusion!

Bill claimed that God told him to join with the Rev Jim Jones cult group, so he drove all the way to learn from Jim’s ministry. Strange guidance, wouldn’t you agree?

Bill claimed that God told him to move his wife and children down to Louisiana to a place where acids ate paint off his car and caused lung problems and respiratory diseases. More questionable guidance, unless we’re talking about familiar spirits.

Bill claimed that God told him to leave his wife and children without money or food. Yet the scriptures say that “If any man provide not for his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.” I would stand with scriptures on this point, wouldn’t you agree?

Bill claimed that God told him to welcome a strange man into his house and let that man have access to his wife, his children, a hammer, chainsaw, and the keys to his vehicle. The man turned out to be an escaped convict who endangered his wife and children every minute he stayed there. A familiar spirit might tell someone to do that, but I question whether the true God would advise a man to endanger his wife and children with a convicted criminal. Where was the discernment of the Spirit?

Conclusion: If we compare these messages of Bill, we must conclude that they probably came from one or more familiar spirits. Because God is not the god of confusion, but of order. The spirit that Bill heard endangered his life and the lvies of his wife and children many times, not just from leaving them without food, but placing them in danger from living with an escaped convict and acids in the air that ate paint off cars and trucks. Then there was the constantly changing “word” to sell insurance, quit insurance, preach, stop preaching, sell insurance, ad nauseum. None of these words were from the true God. Any believer or agnostic can admit that much.

Bill Britton is one of the greatest ministers I have ever seen, he was faithful to his calling and I believe him that God told him to do these things as a way to test him. If anyone has familiar spirits its you why can’t you accept that it was God speaking to him We don’t know the logic of God and his ways are mysteries but God knows what he is doing and just because it doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t mean Bill is a false prophet.

Only a short comment, here. Balaam was a foolish/false prophet of Israel, yet at the time, God had to use him for His purposes even though he was easily swayed to the other side. At one point, God even had to speak through his donkey to get His message heard. I don’t know how Britton compares with Balaam, but God’s truth is truth, no matter how it comes, or who is the mouthpiece. I have been very blessed by reading any of Britton’s writings thus far.

Even Jesus was considered a false prophet by those who did not believe.I know men and women who was with Bill, you can not deny the evidence.or the fruit.

Well, anonymous, it’s understandable why you wouldn’t want to leave your name and let God defend you if you are correct Familiar spirits indeed. Perhaps you need another reading of Job.

I suppose using your criteria for judgment (i.e, looking at events to discern spirits) you would then be able to come to no other conclusion but that familiar spirits led all the disciples to slaughter save one, whom they chose to share with a sentence to death in exile. Stephen was stoned. Peter was hanged upside down on a cross. And Paul? Boy, he must have really been deceived, since his “hearing from God” led him to shipwreck, multiple jailings, beatings, hunger, rejection, and so on. From the first day of his calling, Paul was suspect and despised by fellow believers. Was Paul being deceived?

Sometimes God leads us into things knowing full well we will fail or make a mess of things. , not as a test, per se. He does it because he wants to reveal something to us about our own character and shortcomings that we may learn form it and be conformed more to the image of the Son. There are many pardoxes of the Christian faith- we have to surrender to gain victory, we have to die to live, we have to give all to gain, and become wiling to be last to be first. God uses what appears to be foolishness to natural man to confound those of us who are wise in our own estimation.

Only God knows the intent of the heart. The rest of us have to settle for being fruit inspectors and observe what follows a professed believer. I would pray that none of my mistakes would be blamed on being deceived by the Devil and instead by chalked up to acting in my flesh or doing what I believe God calls me to to the best of my ability, and let Him do what He may through it.

One thing I will leave you with, my friend. Be very, very careful about ascribing to the Devil the works of God. We as a culture may limit “taking the Lord’s name in vain” to a few select swear words, but it is much, much more than that, not the least of which are tacking His name onto something He never said and that runs counter to Scripture, or blaming him for the works of the Devil, or calling His works demonic.
