The Beautiful Feet of Jesus

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things (Rom 10:15)! For some time now, we have been hearing much criticism of the current move of God to restore the Prophetic and Apostolic Ministries to the Church; It has been said that If you are an Apostle, or Prophet, then BE ONE but don t tell anybody.
This, like one Brother so aptly said, would be like the Doctors or Lawyers attempting to Practice secretly, or Anonymously. Paul the Apostle didn t mind letting everyone know right off who and what he was; Do we ever hear of Pastors who hide their identity under a bushel like this?? People would no doubt suspect any Kingdom Teacher of having something to hide should he refuse to let himself be known as such. But when it comes to the Prophets and Apostles of the Kingdom we are just to stand in the corner and keep our identities hidden from everyone – I agree that if we are Apostles or Prophets, we should BE ONE all right, but not allow anyone to diminish who and what we are down to the level of Just one of the Boys.

Now to the Subject at hand: In the Scripture given, the Apostle asks; How shall they preach, except they be SENT? The Word Sent here, is the Greek word Apostello the same word from which we derive Apostle. We can see that Paul is not referring to just anyone here, but he is specifically pointing out something; First of all, that those who have a true Apostolic Calling have a Message from God. There are a lot of preachers in the world around us who really have no clear Message (or, Revelation of Divine Truth) for the Church in this hour, this is proof that they are not truly Apostles. Secondly, when God sends someone He gives them a CLEAR message, not like a trumpet blowing an Uncertain Sound but a Distinct one, that tells the Church what is happening, and when it is time to move ahead in the unfolding Revelation of His great Plan.

The Forerunners of the Kingdom

As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Notice in the next passage below that David the King was awaiting news of how the battle against the Rebellious Army of Absalom his son had gone. He already knew what the first man had to say, what he really needed to know was not in the power of the Good man to divulge. Like King David, the Church wants to hear that Absalom s Okay, Nothing to worry about, but sad to say, that isn t exactly where we are in this hour.

And the watchman saw another man running: and the watchman called unto the porter, and said, Behold another man running alone. And the king said, He also bringeth tidings. {27} And the watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and cometh with good tidings. {28} And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD thy God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king. {29} And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king’s servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was. {30} And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still (2 Sam 18:26-30).

In other words Stand Aside until the man with the real message gets here; It would be wonderful if people would take this to heart when the Messenger s of God are attempting to deliver their message, and their own souls, but usually there is someone who tries to hinder them in doing so. Now Notice: And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up against thee. {32} And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt, be as that young man is. {33} And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son (2 Sam 18:31-33)!

Although this messenger brought Good News of Peace (The ceasing of all hostilities), it wasn t exactly what David wanted to hear; How much like the present state of things within the Church! On the one hand, there are many who have hazarded their very lives to preserve the Kingdom under their Heavenly David, and to them, this message of the restored Kingdom is the best news possible; Notwithstanding, there are others who are troubled deeply by these tidings. They would like to hear that the Kingdom can be, and is restored without the death of the Rebellious element, this would be nice, if it were possible, but it s not.. David, like all the rest in Israel will have to accept the fact that some of our little beloved and Rebellious things are going to have to perish by the Sword of the Spirit of God in order to Seat the Anointed Christ upon His rightful Throne inour Lives.

The Beautiful Feet of Jesus

Notice that the first man was a Good Man, but as good a man as he was, he had no Certain Sound as to the outcome of the Battle – He had heard a great Tumult, but could not reveal any more. The second man was not as swift, or as naturally talented, neither did he have the reputation or the birthright of a Son of Zadok; But one thing he did have was the Message of the Hour. The Scriptures reveal over and over again how That was not First which is Spiritual, but that which is Natural, and AFTERWARD that which is Spiritual (1 Cor 15:46). When we look at the description John gave of Jesus as He appeared in His Many-Membered, Glorified, Most Holy Place Body, the Feet stand out especially.. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters (Rev 1:15).

The word for Fine Brass is Chalkolibanon: #5474 and it means (Among other things) an alloy of Silver, and Copper, or Gold. For the purpose of this study, and because it agrees more Scripturally, I prefer to think that it is a Silver and Gold Alloy shown here. We are told to build upon the Foundation of Christ Gold, Silver, and Precious Stones. The feet (The Runners, and the Feet Company upon the earth) have been through the Fire of Tribulation and persecution both for their Message sake and for their anointed Walk. Their works have also been tried in the Fire of God s Holy Judgments in their lives; The Wood, Hay, and Stubble is a thing of the past – No more of the Old Humanity of Adam is left, Christ is all in all. This Body comprises a New Heaven, and a New Earth people, whose only King (or, Head) is Jesus.

The Feet of Asher:

And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. {25} Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be (Deu 33:24-25).
Asher means Happy, or Blessed, one of the twelve Sons of Jacob, he points to one facet of the Tree of Life bearing Twelve Manner of Fruit. In dealing with the Feet, and the alloy of Silver and Gold, notice he has Dipped (or, Baptized) his Foot (Not just his Mouth) in Oil – He has an anointed and Beautiful Walk that leaves Signs and Wonders wherever he steps. This speaks to us of the Runners Anointed Message and the hearers Anointed Walk; His shoes of Iron and Brass are a close similarity (Type) of the Silver (Redemption) and Gold (Divinity) of the anointed feet of Jesus. Strength and Durability is seen in these two; We are speaking of Eternal things here – Strong and Durable is the Message of the Kingdom! Iron shows us their Strength and Brass reveals Judgment, therefore Strong Judgments follow in every step they take. Immortality is also in view, and the Feast of Tabernacles, for Christ is fully Tabernacling in His Body.

The other day I wrote an article entitled Face to Face where I dealt with the Precious Ointment for Burial which was poured out upon both the Head and Feet of Jesus. This Ointment (or, Eyesalve, in another application) speaks loud and clear to us of so many things; The Anointing of the Most Holy Place, the Baptism of Fire, and the Feast of Tabernacles. This Precious Ointment (Baptism of Fire) that Jesus is counseling the Church to Buy, is not Free, it cannot be purchased at any price monetarily; But it will cost us everything in the sense of Wood, Hay, and Stubble. This is a day when the Church is not liking the message it is hearing, like the rich young ruler, many are so Rich and increased with goods that they cannot bear to think of giving up this world and its pleasures, even in exchange for a seat at the Right Hand of God.

The Glorious Feet

The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious (Isa 60:13).
In the natural, the feet are probably the least Glorious of any members of the Body, but the Lord has chosen to reverse the Natural order of things here; These feet will be so Anointed of God that the Glory of the Living God will be openly manifested in them, so much so that even the heathen will be drawn like a magnet to the Place of His feet. It will be so Full of His Glory that the Glory of all the Nations shall come to this sanctuary and bow to Jesus there; Don t you want to be a part of this? I do, and whatever trials and tribulations it takes to further purify the Church and make her ready for this Great Wedding Day just ahead, it will be worthwhile, in the Kingdom of our Lord, and His Christ (Anointed Body).

For I reckon that the SUFFERINGS of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the GLORY which shall be REVEALED in US. {19} For the earnest EXPECTATION of the CREATURE (or, Creation) waiteth for the MANIFESTATION of the SONS of GOD (Rom 8:18-19).
