"And when the woman saw that the tree was good, and that it was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree that desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit therefore, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” (Gen 3:6)
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23)
The two passages quoted above clearly define for us what the outcome of the response of Adam and Eve in the garden to the voice of the serpent. Mind you, I used the word “was” and it is deliberate which I will explain as we progress.
Luke in his genealogical record shows verse 38 of Luke 3 that Adam “was the son of God”. That is only after the fall. Meaning he was once a son of God or better still had a father and son relationship and that was when he was in the garden exercising his dominion mandate “ let us make man in our image and after our likeness and let them have dominion…and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground…and the Lord God planted a****.and the Lord God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it “ (Gen 1:26-28,2:7-9,15). Now it must be noted that every bit of what happened to Adam became the experience of humanity, and so we talk of all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The ‘glory of God” is actually the glory that the father vested in man, the dominion mandate, just like the psalmist will put it “what is man, that thou art mindful of him?” and the son of man, (the spirit that is clothed with flesh) that thou visited him for…thou hast crowned him with glory and honour. Ps 8:4-6
THE TWO FACTORS THAT LED TO THE FALL
I want to highlight the two major factors that led to the fall and to let us know that a careful understanding and appreciation of these factors will equally lead to a complete reversal of the effect of the fall.
(1) THE VOICE. It is true that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17) And it also shows that somebody must speak for you to hear, that is after you must have paid close attention to the one talking. Again what you hear can either build your faith in the one speaking or it will cause you to loose faith in God
Therefore we can see that the fall of Adam and Eve is directly connected to voice of the serpent that came and spoke to them. Now understand this, in listening to the voice of the serpent, they trusted in what the serpent said and so they ended up having a different belief system and disbelieving God. By implication the serpent became their God or master instead of God
So in 2 Cor 4:4 we read of Satan being the God of this world and in Matt 4:8-9 we are told that the Devil after showing Jesus all the kingdom of this world and the glory thereof, promised to give it to Jesus if only he would bow down and worship him. But how did the devil become a possessor of the world that he was promising Jesus? Which testified to the fact that he was actually the God of this world. The simple fact is that man gave the world, his dominion mandate to the devil when he listened to him, by implication he was simply promising Jesus what was his own by right as a son of God who owns the heaven and earth. Oh this is what Adam did not understand or failed to realize that all dominion was already his as long as he keeps listing and walking by the voice of the Lord that comes regularly to him in the cool of the evening (Gen 3:8) which by the way is the time of the evening sacrifice.
Now the question is, if man must get back the dominion what will be the way out? It is simply for him to start listing to the voice of God in the son “verily, verily I say unto you the hour is coming, and now is when the dead I sin and trespasses (Eph 2:1) shall hear the voice of the son of God, and they that hear shall live” (Jn 5:25) in other words, the voice of the son of God carries life. For “..the words that I speak unto you they are spirit and life” Jn 6:65
Again I wish to state here that the fall of man was not a vertical dropping from the sky called heaven to earth but rather the losing of his glory his dominion mandate which results in his been driven from the Garden, a horizontal movement. Therefore man’s restoration is simply his being recrowned with Glory. Moving back to his position in the Edenic state with dominion and not necessarily a lifting up from the earth, so what am I saying? You don’t need to be taken to heaven to regain your dominion mandate. Firstly, it was not meant to be up there, but over all realms of the created world that we are now living in (Gen 1:26-28). So what kind of voice or who are you listening to? Your failure in life and your inability to access God’s voice of empowerment is directly connected to the company you keep the people you listen to who do not have access to Gods recovery mandate for man in Jesus Christ. I want to declare to you that God in Christ before the foundation of the world have define for you I this world your sphere of the operation and boundaries of dominion. You have a defined estate to which you must rule over as a Son of God. For Jesus said “ all power is given unto me in heaven and on earth” ( Matt 28:18). This is the sphere of dominion. Now you must know is that after the resurrection of Christ, the dominion mandate of this world have been transferred from the hands of the devil to Jesus and consonant with listening to his voice you are empowered to enter your inheritance which defines for you your God given Edenic portion. You are not sent here as a beggar, you are sent here COMMISSIONED and this is what you must locate. You are no longer short of God’s glory, for the fullness of God’s glory is in Christ (Heb 1:1-2) and if you have Christ, you have received back the glory you lost in Eden. Do not let any man fool you with religious talk, it is not when you die or go to heaven it is NOW. Listen to his voice within you.
(2) SIGHT: The second factor that sent them out of the Garden is sight, for we are told “ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” (Gen.3:6).
The point is, have they not being seeing this tree before the devil came to introduce the tree and what it can do? Sure enough they have always had the tree in the midst of the Garden (Gen.2:9), which shows that they have always been seeing the tree. So what do we mean “they saw”. Take for instance; Jesus said (Jn.8: 51) “Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death” So what do we mean ‘see death’? But we do know that “death” is not a literal objects that can be handled, but death can be experienced, for it carries with it a power.
Now, take for instance, if I were to be relating a story of an Armed Robbery attack to a blind man. And at the end of my story, the blind man simply says, “I see” what on earth did he see? He simply meant to let me know, he understood what I said. Therefore to ‘see’ means to understand a thing.
What it meant therefore, that Adam and Eve saw the tree for the first time in their lives, means they understood the efficacy and what the tree can do if they ate of it. And what was the result of their partaking of it? They were awakened to the realm of sensuality and earthly life and they died to the life of God, the spirit. Therefore, the return now to the Garden, is and must be through accurate knowledge as we hear the voice of the Son of God, to keep His commandment. This is obey every instruction e passes to us per –time, which is the proceeding word. Not just some dead letters of Theology or the book that can turn man into a legalist.
And apostle Paul says “ And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him”: (Col.3:10).Again Apostle Peter said, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Pet.1:3).True power to live in this world, and that of godliness can only be derived through the accurate knowledge of God in Christ.
So the second factor for our return journey to the Edenic life is knowledge- understanding, which is sight, the ability to discern. Therefore, Jesus would say to Nicodemus “.. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God ”.(Jn.3:3). So we found that the present reality of the kingdom of God on the Earth today which is “Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost” (Rom.14:17).cannot be understood, experienced and live by many because of lack of true spiritual birth into another dimension of the Spirit.
Man in Adam left the spirit into the flesh realm through knowledge understanding. Man’s journey back into the is a true understanding released to man through the voice of the son of God, that unveils God’s divine thoughts within us, just like it pleased it pleased God to reveal His son in Paul on the road to Damascus. (Gal.1:15-16, Acts.9:1-8), when he heard the voice of the God speaking to him, when he fell with a shinning light around him.
This is the true birth from above; it is a call from the earth realm to a higher life of GOD. Paul was not only indicative of a symbol of obedience, but it was a complete identification with the cursed earthly realm from whence man was taken so that he might truly be awaken and receive a resurrection to life in Christ.
As you truly begin to have accurate understanding of what the kingdom entails through the voice of the Son of God, you will experience a definite translation from the power of darkness into the kingdom of Christ. (Col.1: 12-13) and it will begin to release to you your influence in Christ as a son or daughter of God.
Those who constantly and are perpetually under the influence of the enemy, and always exalting what the enemy can do should not be blamed; for that is the best they can see. They have not been translated, cause they have not heard the voice of the son of God calling them out of the realm of ignorance and identification with the fallen state of man.
Life in the kingdom is a different setting from that of when you were under the power of darkness. It is simply an environment, a state of being, an experience. You were still alive when you were under the power of darkness, therefore, you can experience the peace and joy of the kingdom NOW, not when you die and go to heaven. In reality, heaven rather visiting the earth in the true sense of it, for your sake. Stop living in the darkness of poverty, sickness, failure etc, move into the kingdom of light in Christ as you renew your mind. Your thoughts will either destroy you or release you.
"For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and He is the governor among the nations."
